Centenary Annual Dinner
On 27th February a very successful Centenary Annual Dinner was held in Mansfield House Hotel attended by around 150 members.

The principal guest was the Earl of Dalkeith, which was apposite since three previous generations of his family had been guests over the past century.

The company was entertained by Hawick songs and poems rendered by members of the Club.

The photo is of the top table at the dinner.

Concert
A very successful concert was held in March which presented a variety of the newer and some of the older Hawick songs and poems

The Roberton Dancers performed a complicated sword dance and a choir from Trinity Primary School wowed the audience with a very enthusiastic item.

Hawick Sings

“Hawick Sings” concerts were held in Thorterdykes Roadhouse every Wednesday evening during July and August.

Many local voices and faces provided the entertainment. Admission was free and  locals, visitors and holidaymakers were made very welcome.

All the money raised from each evenings collections was donated to local charities. Last year the sum of £200 was donated to the Macmillan Cancer Relief Appeal for an MRI Scanner at the Borders General Hospital
